Owens to visit community college, host town hall

North Country Congressman Bill Owens will host a town hall meeting in Plattsburgh tomorrow.

The Democrat representing New York's 23rd Congressional District will be at Clinton Community College Wednesday, where he'll deliver some brief opening remarks on job creation and economic development.

A question and answer session with constituents will immediately follow.

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to provide a forum for upstate New Yorkers to voice their concerns and discuss what is important to them," Owens said, noting that the best way to solve problems is to have an "open and civil discussion on issues facing the North Country."

Last week, Owens hosted a telephone town hall with constituents across northern New York. Tomorrow's event will be the second live town hall forum in just four weeks.

The town hall begins at 7 p.m. in the Stafford Building Theater of Clinton Community College. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
