Steet Toyota supports Adirondack Museum

BLUEMOUNTAINLAKE-The Adirondack Museum has received a donation from Joe Steet of Steet Toyota in Utica and a matching gift from the Toyota Corporation for a total of $5,000. The generous gift was given in support of the new exhibit, Night Vision: The Wildlife Photography of Hobart V. Roberts. Roberts called Utica home.

The funds will be used to provide Adirondack Museum visitors the opportunity to see the works of Hobart V. Roberts, and learn more about his groundbreaking methods of early wildlife photography. Night Vision: The Wildlife Photography of Hobart V. Roberts opens at the museum May 27.

"In the past year, matching gifts from corporations have been on the rise," said Sarah Lewin, director of institutional advancement at the Adirondack Museum. "Double your gift to the Adirondack Museum by checking with your employer to see if they can match your contribution."

In 2009, the Adirondack Museum received 21 matching gifts from corporations, and in 2010, that increased to 25. Companies such as IBM, General Electric, American Express, Exxon Mobil and Verizon all have matching gift programs and have generously supported gifts to the museum.
