NC Ministry to hold gala fundraiser May 6

LAKE GEORGE - On Friday, May 6, North Country Ministry (NCM) will be hosting its annual Spring Gala Fundraiser at the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George.

This is NCM's major fundraiser of the year, and the public is invited to attend. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and silent auction. The event also includes dinner, a live auction with Martin Seelye as auctioneer, and the Magic of David MacDonald.

Tickets for the event are $50 each and may be reserved by calling 623-3057. The deadline for reservations is April 26.

Area businesses have been generous to this event with support through underwriting, purchase of program ads, and auction donations.

This year's event is underwritten by Trustco Bank, Barton Mines Corporation, Jim and Kay Morrissey, Cronin Golf Resort, Community Bank, N.A., Behan Communications, and Glens Falls National Bank, The event's media sponsors are Adirondack Journal, News Enterprise, and Times of Ti, weekly newspapers of Denton Publications.

A diverse offering of auction items will spark interest of those attending: gift certificates from area restaurants, original artwork and prints by area artists, a Lake George ride in a 102-year-old Elco Electric Launch, dinner for 10 with Doug Gruse of The Post Star, dinner with Fr. Thomas Berardi - the Gospel Gourmet, Saratoga Flat Track box, one week use of a vacation condo, tickets to regional attractions, hand crafted ottomans - one featuring a Yankees' logo and the other a Mets' logo, and much more. North Country Ministry is an ecumenical, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) outreach organization that provides services without discrimination to individuals and families in need in northern Warren County. The organization is based in North Creek and operates a Family Clothing Center in Warrensburg.
