Middle School Week to be observed

TICONDEROGA-Ticonderoga Middle School will celebrate Middle School Week April 11-15.

Each year the Ticonderoga Middle School designates one week for Middle School Week and sponsors special events throughout that week.

A career fair will be held the morning of April 12. Students from grades 8-11 will be able to meet representatives from different careers and discuss opportunities.

Students are encouraged to wear college gear (i.e., shirts, hats) Wednesday, April 13, and Friday, April 15. Mentors from Castleton College and Middlebury College will spend time visiting with students during lunch on those days.

Parents of incoming Ticonderoga Middle School students are invited to meet with Bruce Tubbs, principal, and Samantha Wells, guidance counselor. Parents who have a child entering grades 6-8 can attend a meeting Wednesday, April 13, at 5:30 p.m. to hear about the student expectations, academics and activities.

That same day 6-7:30 p.m. will be Middle School Family Night. There will be refreshments, family activities and displays.

For additional information on Middle School Week, contact the Ticonderoga Middle School at 585-7400, ext. 2216.
