Father, daughter charged in marijuana case

KINGSBURY - Irv E. LaFreniere, 53, and his daughter, Amanda I. LaFreniere, 21, were arrested last week after the Washington County Drug Task Force found a marijuana growing operation in their apartment.

Over nine ounces of marijuana and 16 marijuana plants were seized, as well as equipment and lights that were used in the growing process, police said. Irv LaFreniere was charged with unlawful growing of cannabis, a misdemeanor, and third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, police said.

Amanda LaFreneiere was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, police said.

Both were issued appearance tickets to return to the Kingsbury Town Court April 13.
