The student ambassador program is not free. Mildon must raise $7,400 to participate in the 20-day trip.
Mildon will hold a Father's day breakfast at the Crown Point fire house to hep secure the needed money. The Ticonderoga Elks are also planning a dinner to assist Mildon and he is contacting local businesses and people asking for financial support. Anyone interested in the program can contact Mildon at 597-4248.
Besides his interest in travel, Mildon has just completed the requirements to become an Eagle Scout. A member of Crown Point Troop 70, Mildon will receive his award during a court of honor April 30 at the fire house in Crown Point.
