LAKE GEORGE - The Lake George girls volleyball team handed their storied coach Cathy Stanilka her 600th career victory as they defeated Granville 3-0 in a non-league matchup Sept. 23.

The Warriors advanced their season record to 6-1 overall with game scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-11.

The Warriors proved their depth of talent as four players had nine service points: Kate Bauder, Amanda Chambers, Katy Munzenmaier and Erin Blunt. Bauder tallied two aces and two digs, Chambers contributed three aces, three kills and one dig, Munzenmeier had one kill and two digs, and Blunt recorded nine points, six aces and three kills.

Fort Edward 3

Warrensburg 0

FORT EDWARD - Hannah Terrio recorded 18 service points, 11 aces and nine assists in Fort Edward's 3-0 win Sept. 24, over Warrensburg. The game scores were: 25-15, 25-9 and 25-12.

Burgher Ashlee Leary tallied eight points and three digs for her team, while Kirsten Morehouse had nine assists and three points and Cheyenne Palmateer had eight digs and five points.

Fort Edward 0

LAKE GEORGE - The Warriors continued their winning 2010 campaign Sept. 22, by shutting out rival Fort Edward 3-0. Erin Blunt led the statistics with 10 service points, three aces, one kill and two digs.

Game scores were 25-17, 25-19 and 25-21.

Hayley Humiston had eight points, two aces, 10 kills, three blocks and one dig for Lake George. Katie Munzenmaier contributed seven points, five kills and four digs. Kelly Flaherty had eight points, two aces, three kills, one block and one dig.

Argyle 3,

Warrensburg 0

ARGYLE - Argyle athlete Megan McWhorter led her volleyball team with 11 aces, 10 assists and three kills as the Scots defeated Warrensburg Sept. 22, handily with game scores of 25-10, 25-7 and 25-3.

Argyle's Emily Rosati chipped in with three aces, six assists and three kills and Ashley Ellis finished with five kills. Breanna Phillips had two kills for the Scots (3-0, 5-0).

For Warrensburg, Katie Riddle finished with seven assists and Autumn Smith had seven digs, two service points and one ace.
