Les Bilow is the club office manager.
The three-story building has about 5,000 square feet on each floor. For years the first floor was rented as commercial space, the second floor a lounge and office space, and the third floor a banquet hall and kitchen.
When the first floor tenant moved last year the Knights took a look at their building. They realized the building was not handicap accessible and expensive to heat.
"There was no insulation in the building when we started," Slattery said. "We gutted the entire first floor and started from scratch. Now it's fully installed. I believe we'll save 50 percent on our heating bill this winter. We have been spending $10,000-$12,000 a year heating the building."
