Lady Orange chasing another Division III title

INDIAN LAKE - Murphy Farrell and Carli Reynolds two apiece as Indian Lake-Long Lake came one step closer Sept. 21 to another MVAC, Division III title in girls soccer.

The shutout victory over Wells raised the Lady Orange's record to 4-0-1.

Sweeper Melanie Pierson played a strong game for the Orange. Goalie Allison Pine made seven saves, including one in the second half when she tipped away a ball that was headed for the top of the net.

Keene 1

KEENE VALLEY - Carli Reynolds made her fifth shot of the night count as she broke a double overtime to lift the Lady Orange over Keene Sept. 23.

Morgan King also scored for Indian Lake-Long Lake, and Allison Pine helped out with nine saves in goal.

Keene's first goalie, Megan Hall, hustled for her team's lone goal.

Prudence Dechene and Kaylyn Bennett each tallied an assist apiece for the winners.

Westport 4

Minerva-Newcomb 2

MINERVA - Alison Sherman collected a goal and two assists to lead the Eagles to the non-league win over the Mountaineers Sept. 23.

Rebecca Bolan and Dakota Bennett each scored one goal each for Minerva-Newcomb despite being outshot by the Eagles 17-9.

Marlena Peter made 14 saves in the goals and Agathe Debeauvais tallied one assist for the Mountaineers.

Fort Ann 1

Indian Lake-Long Lake 0

FORT ANN - Kaleigh Foran's goal at 13:51 proved to be enough to lift Fort Ann past Indian Lake-Long Lake in a non-league test for the Lady Orange Sept. 24.

Alli Clark finished with nine saves in goal for the Cardinals, while Allison Pine made two saves in the loss.

LAKE LUZERNE - Chet Prouty, Ben Richards and Evan Richards each scored to help the Jaguars edge Hadley-Luzerne Sept. 24.
