LAKE GEORGE - It's not only an unparalleled winning tradition and savvy coaching that spurs Lake George girls ssoccer squads on to ever-greater achievements, it's routinely another important factor - depth of talent.

And this year is no exception - Lake George underscored the point Sept. 23, as four of their players scored one goal each to defeat Bolton 4-0.

One contributing factor wascoach Joel Gordon substituted freely during the game, keeping the team's collective energy level high.

The win secured Lake George's status as the only unbeaten team in the Adirondack League. Prior to the game, Bolton also had a loss-free league record.

Jamie Jarett scored first by bumping the ball into the net off her head from a pass within 10 minutes of the game's start.

Thereafter, Emma Feathers, Emily DeWaard and Caroline Murphy added one goal each in succession.

The strength of both Lake George's offense and defense was reflected in the game statistics. Lake George outshot Bolton 23-2.

The score would have been far more tilted if Bolton goalkeeper junior Rosie Denne hadn't worked hard to accomplish 17 saves.

With the loss, Bolton - which has a highly competitive squad - slips to 3-1 in the league. The Warriors advanced to 4-0.
