Guy and Dorothy Edwards from Edinburg visited Earl Allen Sept. 26. They make a vast amount of syrup and wanted to bring Earl some soft sugar.

Emma Parsons and Joann Morehouse enjoyed a trip to Speculator to see all the colored leaves. Emma tells what a beautiful sight it was with so many vivid colors.

Patrick Reidinger enjoyed a week staying with Kraig Millington while his parents were out of town.

Kora Millington enjoyed having many friends at a sleepover Saturday night to celebrate her turning 14. My, where have the years gone?

The Wesleyan Men's Group met for a fellowship retreat over the weekend at the Chatimac Club in Sodom.

Deana Hitchcock Wood was surprised with a gathering in her honor for turning 60 on Saturday. She was so pleased to have her family and many friends share in the event. Her sister, Jolene Slater made the surprise take place.

Keisha Sprague, Dezore Cleveland and Kjerstia Schilinski enjoyed going to Selkirk Saturday to a baby shower. Maureen Shail was the guest of honor.

Alonzo and Fabiann Conlon and Derek Millington helped their grandfather Earl Allen Saturday put up beams to reinforce the hay barn for the coming winter. Lots of laughs and chats were enjoyed.

Kjerstia Schilinski attended the wedding and reception Saturday for James Bond and Cheryl Moffitt. Lots of good food and a beautiful cake. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather was perfect.

While vacationing in Florida, Patty Roberts received a call that her sister, Michelle passed away. The next morning, after returning home, she left for Buffalo for calling hours and funeral.

Events

Saturday, Oct. 2 will be the Shout On the Mountain at 6 p.m. at Camp Triumph on Edwards Hill Road in Bakers Mills. Mike Wells and his band will be in concert. They are from New Jersey. Mike has sung with Lulu Roman from Heehaw. Bring a chair or a blanket and dress warm.
