A bunch of artsy Sundays on tap at the Chaffee

The Chaffee Art Center in Rutland is offering a series of exciting Sunday afternoon workshops for younger artists. The workshops are geared for students ages 6-14; parents are welcome to join in or just enjoy the opportunity to do your own thing.

Each Sunday from 1-4 p.m. we will introduce a new medium and activity at an affordable rate. You can pick and choose the program you are interested in or just take them all.

Oct. 17: Experiments with Abstraction. Create artwork inspired by famous abstract artists using multimedia watercolor collage.

Nov. 7: Straw Collage. Use natural wood, straw and other fibers to form patterns and movement in a collage.

Nov. 14: Tie-Dye. Find your '60s hippie roots and create a wearable piece of art.

Space is limited, so please enroll one week before class starts.

To enroll: send an e-mail message to info@chaffeeartcenter.org or call 802-775-0356.
