SARANAC LAKE - The Red Storm continued their unbeaten streak with a convincing win against Seton Catholic in the Northern Football Conference Sept. 18.
Saranac Lake's starting offense put 22 points up on the board within the first seven minutes of the game with rushing touchdowns from Mike Phelan and Peter Madden and a 23-yard pass from Forrest Morgan to Austin McDonough.
The Red Storm reserves then continued the onslaught, helped by a stalwart defense that held Seton to just 100 yards of total offense with two interceptions. Mark Ryan accounted for much of the Knights' effort with 44 yards on eight carries.
Ethan Barge led the Saranac Lake rushing attack with five carries for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Collectively, the Red Storm had 18 carries for 188 rushing yards. Phelan, Morgan, and Ben Monty combined to pass 5-of-9 for 98 yards.
