Residents and residences receiving Community Enhancement Awards in Hague were the gardens of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Levenstein at 9842 Graphite Mountain Road, the gardens of Joan Steitz at 9837 Graphite Mountain Road, the gardens of Mary Ann Eaton at 9580 Lakeshore Road, and Dennis McDonough at the Lakeshore Drive/Dodd Hill intersection for his roadside spot of color planting.
Honored last year were Two Brothers, Sunshine Laundry, Circle Court Motel, Olde Mill Caf , Country Florist, Glens Falls National Bank, Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union, the Post Office, Champlain Legacy Park, Angela's, and Julie's Beauty Shop in Ticonderoga.
In Hague the entrance triangle at the intersection of Routes 8 and 9N and the Trout House Village were recognized. These locations continue to have outstanding plantings this year.
"Local residents are encouraged to drive/walk by all these businesses and residences to enjoy the plantings," Rettig said. "It is hoped even more businesses and residences can be recognized next year."
