CCC, CV-Tec to present new course

PLATTSBURGH - Clinton Community College and Champlain Valley Technical Education Center will present a college-prep General Educational Development course this fall designed to prepare students to pass the GED tests and apply for acceptance to Clinton Community College.

The course is designed for students who wish to enter Clinton Community College but lack a high school diploma or GED. The course will provide students with the academic skills and learning strategies necessary for successful transition from the GED classroom to college level courses.

Students enrolled in the GED course will participate in college activities and learn about CCC Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advisement, and Student Services. Students will be prepared to enroll in CCC for the spring semester beginning in January 2011. Continued support will be offered after students begin college.

The class will begin in September.
