On Friday, Sept. 24, there will be a fun night at the Glens Falls YMCA for children ages 5 to 11. Parents should pre-register the children by calling 793-3878. The fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. The kids can enjoy crafts, swimming and group games while parents can shop or just take a break.

The Thurman Station Farmers' Market is still open 12:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays until Oct. 13. Stop by and shop for some home-grown garden vegetables, eggs, baked goods, maple products and craft items.

A rabies clinic will be held at the Stony Creek Town Hall Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A clinic will also be held these same hours at the Upper Hudson Beagle Club, Zaltz Road in Thurman, according to a county health department press release. Call 761-6580 to double-check on either of these events.

The Southern Adirondack Four-Wheeler Enthusiasts is sponsoring an ATV poker run Saturday, Sept. 18, and club members invite all ATV riders 18 and older to attend. All participants must bring their own registered, insured ATV for this outdoor adventure. Riders are to meet at 10 a.m. in the pavilion behind the Thurman Town Hall to register. A fee of $15 will include admission to a barbecue at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded, and it should be a fun day for those involved. For details, call 792-9472.
