What's attracted people to Early Morning has been their sound, and mainly because the band writes a lot of their own songs, said Brown.
"Originals are hard to get out and some people tell us we sound like this band or that band, but we just write what sounds good to us," he said. "We write a song and tear it apart; it is a group effort and when a song is done we are proud of it."
"Creating something totally different is not easy these days," Brown added, "but we feel the key is to make a song that makes you want to listen to it again and again."
(Editor's Note: Early Morning will be playing next Friday, Sept. 17, at Gilligan's Getaway, 7160 State Route 9. The show, which will double as a release party for their new album, will begin at 7 p.m. The band can be found on Facebook and MySpace by searching keywords: Early Morning.)
