Jamboree offers two days of mountain music

The annual Fiddlers' Jamboree begins on at 8 a.m. Saturday Sept. 11 at the Veterans Memorial Park in Athol. Our local firefighters will be presenting a delicious breakfast, to be followed by a day of foot-stomping music.

On Sunday Sept. 12, the Jamboree continues noon to 8 p.m. with the music centering around good old-fashioned gospel tunes. Special guests will be Jim Davis, the Seeley Family, Hoddy Ovitt and Jam Witham & Family, plus a large group of musicians who will be joining in a Singspiration event. Bring your instrument and your best singing voice. Donations will be accepted. Food and snack booths will be staffed by local organizations.
