On Sept. 8, Dr. Elizabeth Bundock, a medical examiner for the Vermont Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, advised news reporters that the skeletal remains found in a wooded area of Rutland Town last week belonged to Daniel Goldstein, who had been missing for over 6 weeks.
A dental records check was conducted and this aided in the positive I.D. as Goldstein.
Although the identification is positive, the cause and manner of death is still pending and it may be some time before that is determined.
