SCHROON LAKE - Schroon Lake is probably the most experienced boys soccer team in the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference.
The Wildcats return 15 players - 10 of 11 starters - this season. Those 10 starters enter their third year as starting players.
"We return a lot of experience," Coach Lee Silvernail said. "We look to make improvements on last year's record."
Only two seniors are gone from the 2009 club that posted a 2-10 record.
The forward line and midfield figure to be strong with Jesse Shaughnessy, Anthony Vanderwalker, Matt Savarie, Lance Paradis, Ian Williams, Kyle Devita, Noah Gath, Matt Filler, Jeffery Armstrong and Jarred Fowler all returning.
Jeremy Tyrrell, Matt Goodrow, Chris Veverka and Wesley Beers return in defense. They're joined by rookies Mitchell Beers, Nate Wilson, Luc Wilson, Zach Hart and Joe DeZalia.
