CROWN POINT - The Crown Point girls soccer team has a new coach this season.
Jayna (Andersen) McLoughlin is at the helm. McLoughlin is a former Ticonderoga High School stalwart athlete, earning all-conference honors in soccer, basketball and track.
McLoughlin's playing days are behind her, but she's anxious to get her coaching career started.
"We are looking forward to a successful season," McLoughlin said. "We have a young and very talented team with dedicated players."
The Panthers return nine players and figure to be a factor in the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference this fall.
Jenna Petro, Julianne Glebus and Chelsea Dushane return at forward. They're joined by rookies Lauren Brace and Michaela Comes.
A veteran midfield is led by returnees Lindsay Brace, Marissa Titus, Hailey White and Ashley Andersen. New at midfield are Courtney Meachem and Jordan Popp.
Alexis Holman is the lone returnee on defense. Rookies on the back line are Amanda Wolf, Shalyn Burgey, Ellen Kiely, Christy McGuinness and Taylor Booth.
Ashley Morgan returns to mind the goal for Crown Point.
