Another wild weekend!

First a technical note: It seems there was a glitch with our Web picking form last week, and a few folks' picks were lost in cyberspace. For those of you who picked but don't see your results listed here, please drop me an e-mail with your Week 6 picks or results and I'll update it next week.It was another wild weekend in the NFL, with many vicious hits making headlines and prompting the league to implement some new rules to punish players who try to, well, kill other players by launching themselves into their heads. Personally, if it's really blatant, I say, sure, suspend them. But a lot of those brutal hits are coming on plays that happen in the blink of an eye by players simply reacting any doing what they've been taught to do since pee-wees. It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out in the weeks to come. The New York Football Giants didn't win as big as they should have last week, but they won nonetheless. And with the Cowgirls losing to the Vikes, it gives Big Blue the opportunity to stick a fork in Dallas on Monday night. Of course, I see the Giants making a statement with the best game of their season. The other NFC East teams also are in some tough games to call this weekend; the Deadskins go to Chicago and the Beagles are in Tennessee. Come next Tuesday, the Jints will be alone in first as all their rivals lose.Paul Schonewolf led the way in Week 6 with a stellar 12-2 performance, but Justin Bazil now sits alone atop our leader board, one game ahead of three other pickers. Lots of movement up and down our list this week, and I've got a hunch we'll see more after Week 7.Don't forget you can make your picks online at www.denpubs.com. Just look under Contests for the NFL Picking contest!I am so looking forward to Monday night!GO BIG BLUE!!!
