Piorkowski presents nationally on spiritual care in palliative services and will help us to better understand "the power of spirituality as a healing therapy offered to patients and their loved ones while engaged in the medical system."
A chaplain and pastoral care coordinator for Palliative Care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, Piotrowski also served as a chaplain at the Central Vermont Medical Center and other long-term, acute care and hospice settings. As the regional director of spiritual care for the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare System in Milwaukee she supervised 27 chaplains and eight parish nurses.
The Nov. 3 conference is open to all and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The $40 registration includes the conference, morning break and lunch. Seating is limited.
