Minerva Winter Carnival meeting scheduled

MINERVA - Snow may not have made a permanent appearance yet, but it's on the way and in preparation of its arrival, planning has begun for Minerva's Annual Winter Carnival.

Planning committee members are beginning to accept suggestions for events, volunteers, and vendors. A meeting has been scheduled for Monday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at the town hall. The public is welcome to attend, offer their volunteer time and make suggestions on how to improve on the 2009 carnival.

Last year, after a short absence, the Minerva Winter Carnival made a reappearance and experienced a successful return. The community came together to plan, implement, and participate in an excellent event.

Whether interested in outdoor activities or indoor activities, volunteers are needed to make the 2010 Minerva Winter Carnival a success. For more information about the carnival and to find out how to get involved, call Mike Corey at 251-5060.
