Okay, okay, I screwed up. It would seem the spreadsheet I use to calculate our standings had a Week 10 glitch. Ironically, it affected the Beagles/Deadskins game, go figure. Bottom line is no one who picked Philly was credited with a win. All's right with the world now, however, as I've made all the necessary corrections.
Well, all isn't quite right with the world as The New York Football Giants are having some issues. Hard to believe they contained Vick last week and basically fumbled the game away. And now we learn another receiver - their BEST receiver - is going to miss three weeks with a leg injury. Fortunately, they're at home against Jacksonville this weekend, and will be able to right the ship.
It always bugs me when a fellow Giants' fan picks against them, but it sure paid off this week for John Gereau, who posted a perfect 16-0 record to catapult himself into sole possession of first place. It's a rare occurrence in the prognostication business, so major kudos to John.
A full day of football and turkey on Thursday, when the Pats, Saints and Jets will celebrate victories. The Green Bay at Atlanta game Sunday should be a great one and I see the Pack winning a close one on the road.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and GO BIG BLUE!!!
