The Pop Singers stepped into characters from the 1940s and enjoyed the the experience of traditional uniforms, hairdos and entertainment. Not only did they experience a history lesson, but gained understanding of the importance of Veterans Day.
Costumes were donated by Our Town Theater Group and The Indian Lake Theater.
"It is so much more than a day off of school," said Richards.
When the last note was sung in the Johnsburg Central School gymnasium, everyone was on their feet and the applause lasted for minutes. Such a response will travel oversees this week as a video recording of the performance will be posted on-line for servicemen and women stationed oversees to view.
"This was our way of thanking the local veterans and showing respect for the what they have don," said Sierra Galusha.
