Chamber plans tree lighting

TICONDEROGA - The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual community tree lighting ceremony as part of TACC North Country Christmas week on Monday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Ticonderoga Community Building following the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.

The tree will be lit in honor of the community and Anthony "Tony" Morette. Morette, who had been involved with stringing the lights on the tree for a number of years as well as creating the tree of lights on top of Mt. Defiance in Ticonderoga for the holiday season.

Holiday music performed by Joe McGinness and Dan Sadowski. They are the lead singers of the In-Laws band.

"Thank you to the town of Ticonderoga staff for their continued dedication to the community and providing the lights for the tree. I also would like to thank Joe and Dan for being part of this year's ceremony. It will be a magical evening with the arrival of the Holiday Train followed by the annual tree lighting ceremony," stated Matthew Courtright, TACC executive director.
