Ti chamber recognizes volunteers

Starr Pelerin of The Gunning Agency was named Chamber Volunteer of The Year.

The Wagon Wheel Restaurant, owned by Ray and Robbin Thatcher, was named Business of The Year.

"Without the dedication, drive, and true spirit of volunteerism of the many volunteers and especially those honored at the 2010 TACC volunteer appreciation dinner, this area, the community and the chamber would not be able to do all of the things they do," Courtright said.

"Within the area there are a wonderful group of dedicated community members," he added. "From the volunteers at the local emergency squads and fire departments who truly serve and are dedicated to all of us to the many businesses, committees, organizations, and individuals who work so diligently to provide opportunities, growth and events for the area."

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce represents more than 160 members. It cooperatively works with civic, social, cultural and educational organizations as well as local government to enhance living and working condition within the area.
