"She possesses the ball so well, and she's just a tremendous all-around athlete," Sherman-Trombley said.
"We had one chance in the second half," said Denton. "They're just a lot deeper than we are, and they came out on top."
Forward Kylee Cassavaugh provided a quality effort for Elizabethtown-Lewis, as did midfielder Ashli Cannabush, one of just two seniors on a young squad Denton has high hopes for next year.
"At one point, I had four freshman out on the field," Denton said. "We're looking forward to some bright and brilliant times here in the near future."
