Carillon Garden Club plans Hague meeting

TICONDEROGA - The Carillon Garden Club of Ticonderoga will meet on Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Hague Community Center, Route 8 in Hague.

The regular business meeting will start at 11 a.m. with lunch (bring your own) following at 12:15 p.m. A program on floral designing will start at 1 p.m. when garden club member Joyce Mouradian will introduce a "how to" tape featuring Marie S. Miller, a noted floral designer and flower show judge.

Members, guests and prospective members should become inspired to make their own arrangements for the holidays and Holiday Magic which will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 5th following the Champlain Valley Choral annual Christmas concert.

The hostesses for the Nov. 18 meeting are Diane Bence, Ann Johns and Rose Marie Viscardi, who will provide beverages and desserts.

Club members are reminded that dues for the 2011 club year should be paid by Nov. 30.

Members are also reminded to bring their donations for the children's Santa Fest program to this meeting.

The Carillon Garden Club meets on the third Thursday, March through November. Anyone wishing to learn more about the club should call President Betty Rettig at 585-7247 or Joyce Cooper at 585-2640.

Club members will be decorating Christmas wreaths as a club fund-raiser the week of Nov. 15. People who would like to purchase a wreath or spray should call Rettig or Cooper. Money earned from the sale of wreaths goes towards beautification projects in Ticonderoga and Hague.
