Thomas the Tank pulls

NORTH CREEK - Beloved Thomas the Tank Engine will roll into the The Upper Hudson River Railroad's North Creek depot this weekend as part of "Day Out With Thomas: The Celebration Tour 2010," presented by HIT Entertainment.

Thomas will be in North Creek from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 22 and 23 and will return on May 29 and 30.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take a 25-minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the "Thomas & Friends" series throughout the scenic Adirondack rail line. Children will also be excited to a chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of The Railway. Various activities will be available including arts and crafts, storytelling, video viewing, live music and a celebration of Thomas turning 65. The series was first published in 1945.

The tour has been chugging through North Creek for 15 years and also include stops in more than 45 U.S. cities. From year-to-year, the tour gives rides to more than one million passengers.

Tickets are prices are $18 plus tax for ages 2 and up.
