Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference teams saw a hard week with some tough non-league tests. Crown Point swept Johnsburg, while Willsboro also saw a sweep against Indian Lake-Long Lake. The Lady Orange clinched a league win over Wells after some impressive play from Kaylie Miller at bat and from the mound.

SCHROON LAKE - Schroon Lake's Anthony Vanderwalker threw five strong innings May 12 in its win over Johnsburg. He allowed just one base runner on a hit in the first inning.
Wesley Beers cracked a three-run homer for the unbeaten Wildcats. Jeffrey Armstrong added four hits, including a double.
Lance Paradis had three hits and Matt Savarie and Chris Veverka chipped in with two each.

Indian Lake-Long Lake 8
INDIAN LAKE - The Warriors had seven of their 11 hits in the third inning as they pulled away from the Orange and secured the win on May 12.
Indian Lake-Long Lake led, 6-1, after two innings until the Warriors cranked in eight runs in the third and added two more in the fourth.
Nick Ball hit a double and two singles for Willsboro and Justin Drinkwine doubled and singled. David Gowans, Alex Hamel and William Gay each hit a double. Starter John Pollock picked up the win.
Jordan Wallace belted a home run and a single for the Orange, while Hank Evvatt and Connor Burgess each tallied doubles for the Orange.

JOHNSBURG - Nate Tabor scored the game-winning run on a Cody Wayman double in the top of the ninth inning as Crown Point made a final push past Johnsburg on May 12.
Johnsburg got a runner on third base with just one out in the bottom of the inning, but the Jaguars were unable to finish and drive in the tying run.
