North Creek Gore off to 2-0 start

NORTH CREEK - The Gore youth baseball team started their season with two wins. Playing for Gore this year are, Returning players, Mark Cleveland, Josh Donohue, Aidan Connelly, Andrew Sponable, Brandon Tyrel, Dalton Stevens and Dawson West, New to the team are Will Davis, Trever McKinney, Morgan Beswick, Sebastian Wood and Mike Wilson.

On May 3, North Creek Gore edged North Creek Rotary 4-3. Andrew Sponable pitched a complete came with 14 strikeouts. With the bat Josh Donohue and Dawson West each had doubles. Adding singles were Sponable, Aidan Connelly, Brandon Tyrel and Will Davis.

On May 7, Gore beat Curtis Lumber of Warrensburg 20-1. Aidan Connelly, Dalton Stevens, Will Davis and Dawson West combined to pitch a one hitter with 14 strikeouts. Many had good days with the bat lead by Andrew Sponable who was 2-for-2 with a double and homerun. Mark Cleveland and Will Davis each added 3 hits(double & 2 singles) Aidan Connelly and Josh Donohue each had two hits and scored 3 runs. Also scoring 3 runs was Trevor McKinney who was 1-for-1. Mike Wilson, Brandon Tyrel, Morgan Beswick and Sebastian Wood each had a hit.

Gore has now won 21 regular season games in a row.
