West, Charles William

Born in 1838 in Greenfield, NY, son of Charles and Electra (Gansevoert). Served in Co. B of the 96th NYVI. Discharged June 14, 1865 in Albany.

Westcott, Jarius C.

Born 1846 inHubbarton, VT, son of Wiliam Addison Westcott and Clarrissa (Blackman). Served in Co. B of the 96th NYVI.

Westcott, William Albert

Born Sept. 21, 1846 in Hubbarton, VT. Younger brother of Jarius. Enlisted for three years on Feb. 14, 1864 in Johnsburg as a private in Co. F of the 96th NYVI. Discharged in 1865. Our longest living Johnsburg Civil War Veteran dying in 1931, age 85 and buried in Hack Cemetery on Goodman Road.

Williams, George

Enlisted April 5, 1862 in Johnsburg for three years as a private in Co. B of the 118th NYVI. Died Hampton Hospital July 17, 1864 (wounds? disease?) and buried on the hospital grounds.

Wilson, George

Born in 1845 in New York City, son of John. Orphaned at a young age. Enlisted Nov. 10, 1863 in Stony Creek as a private in the 2nd Cavalry. Discharged May 3, 1865.
