Happy Mother's Day

Hope all the ladies had a great Mother's Day. A lot of flowers, candy and special meals were given. Many of us awoke to a snow covering, high winds and power outages. The sun did eventually come out to make it a bright day.

For many, Mother's Day brought a difficult time because they have lost their mother. Nancy Studnicky adds her special thoughts about her mom, Kathryn Studnicky.

Kjerstia Schilinski, Earl Allen,Ryan and Keisha Sprague, Dezore, Khaleah and Yanden Cleveland enjoyed a Mother's Day meal at DeCesare's in Schroon Lake.


Dr. Sherry Anne Lints from Utica, NY will be in concert Sunday, May 16 at the Sodom Community Church at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the concert. A love offering will be taken. Come and enjoy the concert and her amazing testimony.

Wade Hammond to be in concert at the North River United Methodist Church on Friday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Wade sings a variety of music that will reach all ages. A love offering will be taken. Come and enjoy.

Wade Hammond will be in concert May 15 at the Oneida Community Church in Queensbury at 7 p.m.

Go to "Extra Room Storage Unit" in Chestertown on Saturday, May 15 for a great sale, weather permitting. Hours will be 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Thurman Town Sale will be May 14 and 15. Check it out for goodies.


Edward D. Bennett and Noreen MacDonald Conway were untied in marriage on May 6 in Viriginia. They hope to move to Queensbury in June.

The Riparius, Wevertown and Johnsburg United Methodist Churches enjoyed their 2nd Annual Women's Tea on Saturday, May 8 at the Wevertoiwn Community Center. 50 ladies of all ages enjoyed a great luncheon with added chocolate fountain. Caroline Isachsen gave the musical entertainment. Everyone enjoyed the fashion show. Clothes were the courtesy line from Laurie Arnheiter at Hudson River Trading Co. in North Creek.
