Schroon remains unbeaten

Schroon Lake remained undefeated with a 9-2 win against Willsboro in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action May 7.

Wesley Beers fired a three hitter, striking out 17 for the Wildcats.

Matt Savarie had three hits and two RBI for the 'Cats. Jeremy Tyrrell also plated two runs for the winners.

Saranac 18, Moriah 5

Moriah lost to Saranac, 18-5, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play May 3.

All of the Viking runs came in their final at bat.

Jimmy Curran had a pair of base knocks for Moriah.

Crown Point 9,

Westport-Keene 1

Crown Point romped past the combined Westport-Keene team, 9-1, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action May 3.

Cody Wayman fired a four-hitter for the Panthers, fanning 10 batters. He also had two hits at the plate.

Michael Dushane had three runs batted in for the locals, while Nathan Tabor added a pair of hits.

Schroon 18, ELCS 9

Schroon Lake crushed Elizabethtown-Lewis, 18-9, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action May 3.

The Wildcats jumped to a 12-1 lead and coasted to the win. Matt Savarie hit a pair of two-run homers, Brennan Bush added a three-run blast and Justin Wachowski had a solo shot for the 'Cats.

Ticonderoga 2, Peru 1

Ticonderoga rallied in its final at bat to edge Peru, 2-1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play May 4.

The Sentinels scored the both their runs as Peru made back-to-back errors in the seventh.

Robert teRiele had two hits for Ti

Tanner Purkey hurled a five-hitter for the Sentinels, fanning five.

Saranac Lake 12,

Moriah 5

Moriah lost to Saranac Lake, 12-5, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play May 4.

Eric Baker had three hits and Jimmy Curran two for Moriah.

Crown Point 6, ELCS 3

Crown Point topped Elizabethtown-Lewis, 6-3, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action May 5.
