Garden club meeting slated

HAGUE - The Carillon Garden Club will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, May 20, at the Hague Community Center, Rt. 8, in Hague.

The business meeting will start at 11 a.m. and the program will begin at 1 p.m.

The program will feature Martha Honeywell, a master gardener from the Cornell Cooperative Extension Service of Essex County. A member of the Elizabethtown-Westport Garden Club, she will present her program called "Square Foot Gardening."

Hostesses for the meeting will be Janice Barre, Joan Miller and Joan Gibbs. Members and guests are reminded to bring their own lunches; desserts and beverages will be furnished. Prospective members are always encouraged to attend. The District IV Fall Luncheon Committee will meet at 10 p.m.

The club is also planning a plant sale for Saturday, June 5,10 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the entrance to the Thrift Shop at the First United Methodist Church in Ticonderoga.
