Ti chamber plans mixer

TICONDEROGA - The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce After Business Mixer for May will take place at Inter-Lakes Health Inc./Moses Ludington Hospital Thursday, May 20.

The evening will start off with a pre-mixer tour of the facility. For safety and privacy reasons as well as timing, Inter-Lakes Health will need to limit the number of people on the tour to 15 maximum. Call the Chamber to RSVP. The tour will take an hour. It is first-come, first-serve. Participants must be ready to leave on the tour at 4:30 sharp. Those who wish to take advantage of the tour need to meet by 4:25 upstairs at the entrance to the emergency department.

The mixer will kick off at 5:30 and last until 7 p.m. The menu will be strawberry lemonade, Greek spanikopita divas (individual pastries), Thai chicken grilled on skewers with spicy peanut dipping sauce, Italian pizza stuffed mushrooms, and Moroccan white bean baba ganoosh with pita chips (roasted eggplant/bean dip).

Guests may enter to win door prizes donated by Inter-Lakes Health/Moses Ludington Auxiliary and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant by bringing a business card to share. A 50/50 drawing will be offered.

Chamber Executive Director Barb Brassard stated, "All area business people, chamber members and their employees are encouraged to attend. You don't have to be a chamber member to attend. All are welcome. Our Ambassador Club members will be on hand to meet and greet."

Reservations are required for the tour and encouraged for the mixer. Call 585-6619 or email bbrassard@ticonderogany.com.

About 50 business people and guests from around the region attended the April ABM, hosted by The Best Western/Ticonderoga. Door prizes were donated by Denton Publications and The Wagon Wheel Restaurant. Jeremy Treadway won the 50/50 drawing.

The June event will be the chamber's eighth annual dinner and fundraiser to be held at Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks, in the Gullen Lounge, on Friday, June 18.
