Village Square Booksellers Hosts Wilfong
BELLOWS FALLS - Vermonter Cheryl Wilfong, author of The Meditative Gardener: Cultivating Mindfulness of Body, Feelings, and Mind will be visiting Village Square Booksellers in Bellows Falls on Saturday, May 8 from 12-2 p.m. to read from and discuss her new book.
From 2-4 p.m., join the River Voices Poetry Group for Poetry Open Mic. All poets and listeners welcome.

SR 4th of July Committee Meeting
SAXTONS RIVER - The Saxtons River Fourth of July committee will meet Wednesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the Saxtons River Inn to continue planning for this year's Independence Day festivities.
The committee will be selecting this year's theme and the parade marshals. Area residents interested in helping in any capacity are invited to attend.

Dance to Benefit Alumni Weekend Events
BELLOWS FALLS - The 2010 BFHS Alumni Weekend is just around the corner, and the Alumni Association will be kicking the year off with a fun-filled evening of dance to the music of 3rd Rail at the Moose Family Lodge in Bellows Falls on Saturday, May 8 from 8 to 12 p.m.
All ages are welcome and there will be a cover charge of $5 per person at the door. Positive ID will be required for patrons 21 years of age and older who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Proceeds from the event will help to defray expenses of Alumni Weekend. Mark you calendar now and come join the fun!
SEVCA Food Workshops for Women
WESTMINSTER - Southeastern Vermont Community Action, in conjunction with the Vermont Women's Business Center, will hold a series of free food related workshops for women entrepreneurs on three Thursdays in May from 9 to 11 a.m. at SEVCA, located at 91 Buck Drive in Westminster.
