Buy a Brick' helps homeless pets

The Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) is launching a campaign to help raise funds and build a walkway to your new best friend. Brick by brick our walkway will be built. Bricks are ideal gifts to commemorate a special event, honor a special person or pet, dedicate the memory of a loved one, celebrate a milestone, holidays and more. 4" x 8" bricks are $50 and 8" x 8" bricks are $200. To order your brick or for more information please contact RCHS at 483.9171 or visit www.rchsvt.org. Together we can build a pathway to a brighter future for the homeless animals in Rutland County.

3 year old. Spayed Female. Cocker Spaniel.

I am a pretty little girl who has nice leash manners and enjoys quiet attention from people. For a small dog, I do have a big reaction when strangers come to the door-barking and growling-so I am looking for a quiet adult-only home where I won't get stressed out. Adult only is also good for me because I get nervous when I am hugged and tugged.

7 month old. Spayed Female. Dachshund mix.

I am a sweet girl who likes people and will be able to live with other dogs if they are well-socialized and open to a canine companion to live with. I am a little timid around other dogs but should be able to bounce back. Originally, I was brought here as a puppy from the Spay the Mom program.

1 year old. Spayed Female. Domestic Long Hair Black and White.

I want to be Queen Bee so I may do well as an only kitty because of my bossiness. I am very affectionate with human contact and cannot seem to get enough loving from people that visit. I like to play with all sorts of cat toys so I would suggest having lots around.

2 year old. Neutered Male. Domestic Short Hair Gray Tiger.

Now, I am a cat with an attitude with no doubt. If you are looking for a good mouser and someone around to tell a story to I am the one for you. I really don't care much for being picked up or snuggled; I guess you could say I am a macho type of guy.
