WARRENSBURG - Eighty local high school students are involved in the famed musical Evita which is to be presented in a series of shows this weekend.
The production is to be presented Thursday March 25 through Saturday 27 in the school auditorium. All shows are at 7 p.m.
In 1996, the musical was made into a movie starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas.
The musical focuses on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Per n.
The music was penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Warrensburg's drama productions over the past decade or so, under the auspices of Warrensburg High School choral instructor Jim Corriveau, have been acclaimed regionally for their dramatic substance, athletic dancing, and powerful singing.
