Wilderness First Aid class at TPCC

NORTH CREEK - A Wilderness First Aid (WFA) class will be held at Tannery Pond Community Center on March 21.

This will be a hands-on day of learning how to prevent and treat common first aid situations. Although the focus will be on what to do in the backcountry, it will also be useful first aid knowledge for everyday life. Each student will receive a copy of Wilderness First Aid Field Guide, (131 pages) a compact alphabetized discussion of everything from Abdominal Complaints to Waterborne Diseases. We'll learn it in the morning and then practice it in the woods in the afternoon. This day is for Johnsburg Youth Commission TREKS volunteers, but additional courses will be offered this spring and summer for anyone. If interested contact Rick Morse at 494-4094 or morses2@gmail.com.
