Bakers Mills News 6/12

Memorial Day seemed to be very hazy and had the smell of a very early barbecue. We found out later that the haze was coming from a bad forest fire in Canada.


Fred and Ruth Allen took Earl Allen out on Monday evening to Red Lobster for Earl's birthday. They had a nice evening.

There are lots of bikes in the area for Americade. Even though is started out with some heavy rains, we hope they will have a good week.

Many young people went to Lake Pleasant to help clean at Camp-of-the-Woods to get ready for the summer. They enjoyed working hard and had some great food.

There was a chocolate banquet at the Wesleyan Church in Bakers Mills on Saturday. Many ladies gathered for chocolates, food, fun, prizes and a celebration of life. The guest speaker was Janet Trombley. She told the amazing story about a 40 year search for her son.

The second of the Mayberry RFD bible study series was held Sunday evening at the Sodom Community Church.

Ryan and Keisha Sprague, Khaleah and Yanden Cleveland and Kjerstia Schilinski enjoyed lunch at Friendly's on Saturday.


We are again saddened over the deaths in our area. Sorry to hear about the death of Lucille Cameron and Polly Shepherd.
