Gore stays perfect

NORTH CREEK - Gore youth baseball is still perfect on the season, improving their record to 7-0 this week.

On May 24 Gore beat Two Twins of Warrensburg 11 - 5. Once again, Gore's pitchers gave up no walks while stiking out eight batters. On the mound for Gore were Aidan Connelly, Dalton Stevens and Dawson West. With the bat Gore was lead by Andrew Sponabe, who went 2-for-3 with a double and a homerun. Stevens went 3-for-3 with three runs and four stolen bases. Connelly was 2-for-2 and Josh Donohue added a hit.

Gore beat VFW of Warrensburg 15 - 1 on May 28. Gore's regular season winning streak now stands at 26 wins in a row. Andrew Sponable pitched a complete game giving up only two hits while striking out 16 batters. Mark Cleveland callled a great game from behind the plate. Cleveland also had a nice day with the bat, hitting two home runs and a triple. Dalton Stevens and Aidan Connelly also added home runs. Hitting doubles for Gore were Stevens, Connelly and Sponable. Brandon Tyrel and Josh Donohue each added singles.

This past week Aidan Connelly and Mark Cleveland both hit a career milestone as they both had their 50th career hit while playing ball for Gore.
