Ryan Huchro, son of Martin and Kathy Huchro of Moriah, earned placement on the dean's list at SUNY-Potsdam for the spring semester 2010.

He will be attending SUNY-Albany in the fall as a second-semester sophomore to further his studies in the field of criminal psychology.

He is a 2009 graduate of Moriah Central School.

Local residents have been named to the dean's list at SUNY-Cortland for the spring 2010 semester. Cited were:

Carrie Lillibridge, a junior childhood education major from Crown Point. She is the daughter of Bernie & Donna Lillibridge of Crown Point;

Britney Peters, a junior physical education major from Crown Point.

Tonya Tyrrell, a senior adolescence education: English major from Schroon Lake. Tyrrell was also honored with the Diversity Fellowship for contributions to campus life; Cortland's Urban Recruitment of Educators (C.U.R.E.) Scholarship for her commitment to teach in a high-need urban school following graduation; the Student Government Association Leadership Scholarship from the college this spring.

She is the daughter of Darren and Karla Tyrrell of Schroon Lake.

Jennifer Clark, daughter of Bruce and Catherine Clark of Hague, has been named to the dean's list at Bryant & Stratton College. She is majoring in the paralegal studies program

To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must be enrolled in a full-time program and attain a quality point average of 3.3 or higher.

Morrisville State College recently announced that Martin Chapuk of Moriah was named to the dean's list for the spring 2010 semester.

To be named to the dean's list a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

He graduated in May with a degree in agricultural science.
