ROUSES POINT - Winners of the 50th annual Fourth of July parade, car and motorcycle show and bike decorating contest were recently announced and are as follows:

Fourth of July Parade

• First place adult marching - Rouses Point Fire Department

• Second place adult marching - Rouses Point American Legion

• First place junior marching - Girl Scouts of NE New York

• Second place junior marching - Boy Scouts Troop 41

• First place band - The Ambassadeurs Drum and Bugle Corp.

• Second place band - Elgin & District Pipe Band

• First place float - Swinging Sisters

• Second place float - Babbie Farm & Learning Museum

• First place horse - Ernie Garrand

• First place fire apparatus - Rouses Point Fire Department

• Second place fire apparatus - Champlain Fire Department

• Antique fire truck more than 25 years old - 1931 American LaFrance from West Chazy

• Antique car more than 25 years old - 1938 Ford Coupe (Brenda & Gary Montpelier)

• Overall winner - Rouses Point/Champlain Historical Society

• First place bike decorating - Caitlin Bruce

• Prince - Dayton Palmer

• Princess - Emily Boyer
