Cartoonist making an appearance in Ti

TICONDEROGA - New cartoonist in town, Scott Buckman, will display his comic art and meet visitors at the Ticonderoga Cartoon Museum July 23, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Buckman recently moved to Ticonderoga with Valerie and their family of three girls.

Originally from Kingston, Scott is well-known for his cartoon depictions of super-heroes, Daffy Duck, and other Disney characters. He plans to do on-the-spot drawings for kids and adults during his Museum appearance.

Buckman says he is largely self-trained, but he studied with Paul Abrams of Marvel Comics for about a year.

Director of the Museum, Stan Burdick, announced that there is no admission fee on July 23, and free cartoons will be available for all who come to the Museum at the Ticonderoga Community Building, 132 Montcalm St.
