Vacation bible school planned in August

NORTH CREEK - On Aug. 9-13, 6-8:30 p.m., the North Creek United Methodist Church and St. James Catholic Church will join forces at "Hero Headquarters". At Hero HQ kids will learn about unnamed heroes who were not super or powerful, yet their small acts were used by God to do wonderful things! What they had was a willingness to be used by God right where they lived.

A staff of 20 volunteers from the two churches is preparing for a fun filled week of learning with Bible stories dramatized by the "Teen Team", music, crafts, games and healthy snacks. A special closing program at the Ski Bowl will include a picnic for kids and their families, where groups will share how they have been heroes at home, in the community, and with the environment.

All children from kindergarten age to teens are invited to experience Hero HQ, and there is no fee to participate. Please register by Aug. 5 by calling Jan Nickerson at 251-0164.
