MVAC games feature close calls, dominating performances

Free throw shooting by Devin Waite and Joe Marciano, coupled with a two lay-ups by Josh Densmore secured the win for Hadley-Luzerne.

Densmore and Waite led the Eagles with 11 points apiece, while Jordan Jensen added 10.

Kevin Connor, Taylor Ordway and Ben Richards each put in seven points for the Jaguars, while Sean O'Neil added three and Chris Guy put in a basket.

Johnsburg 65

Wells 14

WELLS - Adrian Veldman scored 17 points, including two three-pointer and Ben Richards added 12 points as Johnsburg eased past league rival, Wells on Jan. 15.

The Jaguars led an undermanned Wells team by 24-0 at the end of the first quarter and kept them scoreless again in the third quarter.

Taylor Ordway chipped in two three-point shots and finished with eight points for the Jaguars. Andrew Veldman also finished with eight points, while Chris Scott contributes six points and Sean O'Neil, Dustin Weller, and Chris Guy added four points apiece. Kevin Connor contributed a single basket.

Bolton 46

Minerva-Newcomb 31

OLMSTEDVILLE - Danielle St. Amour scored 15 points, Dominique Servelli added 11 and Bolton presented a strong press to beat Minerva-Newcomb on Jan. 12.

Deidra Palmatier led Minerva-Newcomb with 12 points.

Rebecca Bolan contributed eight points for the loss. Larissa Roy put up three points, while Emma Parsonson and Briana Hammond tallied two points. Massena Green and and Renna Yandon each had one points apiece.

Tupper Lake 35

Indian Lake-Long Lake 28

INDIAN LAKE - Taylor Kenniston scored 11 points to lead Tupper Lake and hand Indian Lake-Long Lake its second loss of the season on Jan. 12.

The Orange outscored Tupper Lake 16-9 in the fourth quarter, but came up short overall.

Carli Reynolds led the Orange with 11 points with one three-pointer, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Murphy Farrell added eight rebounds and seven steals, while Allison Pine grabbed eight rebounds. Melanie Pierson contributed six points and Elizabeth Hamden put up a lone three-pointer.
