PORT HENRY - The Essex County Youth Bureau will host a lifeguard training class beginning Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Moriah Central School pool. Other classes will be held March 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31 at 6:30 p.m. Candidates must attend all classes.
Lifeguard candidates must be at least 15 years old and demonstrate strong swimming skills. Course participants learn what it takes to be a professional lifeguard.
Registration cost is $125. Contact Michael Mascarenas at 873-3426 to register.
